Cooking for Young Women's Camp

Well, I just got back from Young Women's Camp as the Co-Head Cook and wanted to write down what worked and what did not. We served about 150 people, 11 meals, along with snacks.

Opening dinner: Baked Potatoes with Corn on the Cob, Watermelon "popsicles", Baked Beans, and toppings

Packed Lunch: Bagels, chips, frozen Caprisuns, and frozen Whoopie Pies

Whoopie Pies: 1 cake mix, 1 egg, and 1 stick butter, and frosting

Spaghetti Dinner: Spaghetti, Sauce, Salad, and Parmesan grilled Bread

Bread Spread: Butter and Parmesan Cheese from Green shaker

Cooked Apples: Cored Apples, Caramel dots, cinnamon, brown sugar, Craisins

Chicken Pita Wraps: Grilled Chicken, grilled onions, pitas, shredded lettuce, and toppings including dressings
Sweet Pork Salad: Pork, salad, tortillas, toppings, rice, and beans

Muffins: Costco Muffins, danishes, milk, apple juice, bananas, apples

We ran out of meatballs and needed more chicken for the grilled pitas. Yet for the most part we really had some great food to offer the girls and they enjoyed it.
